FitnessPilates Classes

            Eardisland and Aymestrey

Each of the classes is designed to cover postural awareness, muscle strength, joint mobility, flexibility, balance and a sense of achievement.  As your instructor I strive to make sure each of my members is able to work to their own ability and reach the best fitness level by using modifications and progressions of exercises.  This means that the classes are suitable for many different levels of fitness and so beginners can work alongside those with more experience quite easily.

Fitness changes year by year and FitnessPilates keeps up with all the modern teachings and so is up to date and safe.

The class starts with Standing work where we warm up the body and mobilise the joints. We practice balance and work on improving our posture ready for the mat work.

Mat work is performed in sitting, kneeling, supine (lying on the back), prone (lying on the front) and side lying.  These different positions enable work to be directed to different muscles in alternative ways.

My aim is to make sure everyone works safely and correctly in their technique in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

The classes are suitable for everyone in good health and with a fairly average degree of fitness.

Fridays  9.30am – 10.30am
